Lawyers often report a potential insurance claim on a matter they have taken on for a friend or relative. These are among the most embarrassing claims for the lawyer and among the most difficult to defend for the insurer.

People occasionally contact the Law Society about fraudulent websites using the names of real Manitoba law firms or actual Manitoba lawyers, without the knowledge or consent of those lawyers.

Last Minute Excess Coverage Info
Only a few days left to renew your excess coverage! If you are an existing customer, the renewal period is open until June 30th, 2024. If you are a new customer, applications can be submitted until July 31st, 2024.
